Suzanne Collins has become very well known in recent years due to her successful trilogy The Hunger Games. Not only is Collins the author of this famous trilogy but she has written other novels and children’s stories as well. Collins began writing for children’s television series in 1991. She has contributed to many Nickelodeon shows including: The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, Clarissa Explain it All, and Little Bear. James Proimos first gave Suzanne Collins the idea of working on writing children’s books while she was working on the WB show Generation O. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Collins wrote her first series of books The Underland Series. Soon afterwards, she wrote the Hunger Games Trilogy. Suzanne Collins is currently working on a children’s picture book with James Proimos.
